The registration process for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains 2020 will end on September 30. Candidates who are yet to fill the application forms for the exam can do so by visiting the official website, i.e., jeemain.nic.in.
The First edition JEE Main 2020 will be held between January 6 and January 11.The second edition of the exam will be conducted between April 3 and April 9. The applications for the second edition will be announced in February.
This year National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced some major changes in the examination pattern. Here, are all important changes made in the JEE Main 2020 Exam Pattern.

- The B.Tech paper of JEE Main will have 75 questions this year instead of 90. The question paper has been reduced by 15 questions and 60 marks this time.
However the per question weightage remains the same. The number of questions in each section of paper has been reduced from 30 to 25 with 20 multiple choice questions and 5 long-form questions based on numerical problems.
There is no negative marking for Incorrect Answer Marking Scheme for questions for which answer is a Numerical value
The planning paper (B.Planning) would have 100 questions in total and maximum marks of 400 divided into three parts:For the first time in the history of JEE mains, the B.Planning exam will be held separately.
Part I - Mathematics- 25(20 MCQ + 5 Numerical value)Questions
Part II -Aptitude test- 50 MCQ Questions
Part III - Planning based questions - 25 MCQ Questions
The drawing test for B.Arch, which is now for 100 marks, used to have three questions earlier. Henceforth, it will have only two questions. Paper is divided into three parts:B.Arch paper will carry 77 questions instead of 81 .
